Set Up Your Marketing Funnel In 3 Easy Steps

Posted in Site Promotion by Ed Hodgson @ Mar 28, 2010
by Ed Hodgson

Setting up your marketing funnel is really the only way to drive traffic to a website, offer your services, products or business opportunity to your visitors and succeed in running a profitable turnkey online business from home. This is easy enough to do, despite what some ‘gurus’ may tell you.

Let’s start off by quickly descibing what a marketing funnel (or lead funnel) actually is. Obviously, a funnel is wide at one end and narrow at the bottom. Only some visitors will buy your stuff, so your funnel will start with every visitor you get and then sort them out to the percentage who will buy your product or decide to do business with you.

Follow these 3 easy steps to quickly create an effective marketing funnel.

First off, you need visitors to your site. Obvious I know, but that is where it starts - with your marketing. You need to advertise or market your website so that people actually know about it to be able to see your website in the first place.

You have a choice of how to do this. You can either pay for advertising or there are ways to advertise for free or for those on a budget. Just a few of these are pay per click, posting classifieds, ezine advertising and article marketing are just some ways to go about it.

The second thing to do is after a visitor has seen your site, you want a way to get them coming back as not many will actually decide to buy from you on the first time. You therefore want your marketing funnel to teach your visitors about you and your services.

A personal site will give relevant, friendly information and a form to record their contact info so you can then send them useful information by using an opt-in form and requesting them to join your list of potential customers. They will then receive regular updates from you regardless of how long it is before they visit again.

Finally, the third section of your marketing funnel is when your prospects and subscribers have made the decision that they know what you what you can do to help them. They are wanting to talk to you or just buy from you or partner with you in your turnkey online business opportunity. It goes without asying that the numbers will be a lot less than the original number of visitors that looked at your site.

So it must be a priority to get as much traffic to your website as possible. They are the driving force behind your business and without them at the beginning of your funnel, there will be no prospects to buy from you at the other end. Your marketing funnel also brings high quality visitors so your funnel will filter visitors so you only end up with traffic that is ready to buy.

The purpose of your marketing funnel is to get visitors to your site and turn them into paying customers. Bring quality traffic to your website and they will buy, time after time.

Among the best ways to assure you of regular cash flow if you are conducting your business online is through paid membership websites. Having them will be able to allow you to create a membership empire that will assure you steady cash flow, and an exponential one at that.

Membership websites are now being seen as the most effective business models anywhere, whether online or not. This is because they offer a lot of advantages as compared to other types of models.

You need to understand what paid membership websites are first, though, before you are able to really appreciate what they will allow you to do. Membership websites are websites that are created as informational hubs, that is, they are the ones that will showcase you products and will make your target market sign up for more information with some fees. They are created in such a way that they are seen by your target market as containing really specialized information.

To make the picture clearer, say you have a website offering useful tips in forex trading that you update every time you have some specialized discoveries in the runarounds in forex trading. As long as you remain credible and your tips are great, forex traders, both professionals and amateurs, will keep on coming back to your website for more information. Setting up a membership website will help you create an empire just through memberships along. You can have a yearly or monthly membership and have them pay you a certain sum for that.

To sweeten up the deal, you can have affiliate websites marketing for you. You need not pay them upfront; instead, you just need to have them promote your membership site and for all members who will be signing up on their websites, you just need to pay them a certain amount. This is really a very viable way for you to promote for free and, at the same time, earn easy, cool cash.

Another great way to create money through your membership empire is through referrals. More often than not, you will have satisfied members who will keep on coming back for more because what you really do offer are credible and sound tips. They will more than likely mention what you do to their friends and you will be able to earn just through word of mouth alone. Keeping your members happy is also one goal that you should attain. Why not keep them happy by giving them referral bonuses, right?

 Timekeeping Electronic Watches

Posted in Site Promotion by David Hamilton @ Mar 22, 2010
by David Hamilton

Much to the consternation of traditionalists in the watch making world, the introduction of digital watches has literally changed the face of timekeeping. From the very beginning of mechanical timepiece design, clock and watch faces have featured analog movements with two hands, one showing the hour the other showing the minutes. Eventually a sweep hand was added to denote the seconds passing by.

This configuration remained as the standard for hundreds of years and is still the dominate feature of watches today. The electronics revolution the swept through the consumer products market in the nineteen sixties and nineteen seventies was not lost on how watches and other timepieces were designed. There were two innovations in particular that helped propel a new look and function into the watch market.

Having a lasting impact on watch design the first design innovation was the introduction of the electric watch powered by a battery. The principle advantage to the addition of a battery was eliminating the need to mechanically wind the mainspring of the watch.

One perceived disadvantage was that the watch was not made anymore accurate and whether the addition of a battery would have a positive impact on reliability was still somewhat an unknown. The battery as a power source paved the way for another important design innovation.

The second and probably most important design innovation was rooted in the growing use of light emitting diodes or LEDs which were originally developed for use in space craft. Power consumption and conservation are critical factors in the design of manned spacecraft and unmanned satellites and light emitting diodes brought a sea change in space exploration. LEDs are a solid state device that was a complete departure from the age old technology of the incandescent light bulb. By design, LEDs consumed only a fraction of the power needed by incandescent or fluorescent lights.

It is thought by many that a Russian, Oleg Vladimirovich created the first light emitting diode in nineteen twenty six and that his early research was never taken seriously. The mid nineteen fifties and nineteen sixties saw a flurry of additional research on the phenomenon of electroluminescence found that the chemical reaction of charged gallium arsenide produced a bright, visible light. The reaction that took place was nearly identical to that which takes places in transistors.

So by the early nineteen seventies LEDs were being incorporated into a number of consumer products and it was not long before the humble wrist watch was changed forever. The first watch model to take advantage of the emerging LED technology was the Pulsar that was introduced in nineteen seventy two by the Hamilton Watch Company. The first Pulsar was expensive but that fact alone did stop its successful market launch and the watch became popular with those buyers who were interested in sporting the latest technology. The unique nature of the Pulsar and its success drove efforts by competitors to reduce the price of this new look in order to increase demand among consumers.

It was not long before another emerging technology came along that improved on the original concept of a watch with a digital readout. Liquid crystal display technology appeared right the heels of the LED watch and the face of timekeeping was changed yet again. Requiring far less power than the LED, the liquid crystal display resulted in longer life for watch batteries and the technology is still a dominate force in all manner of high tech products.

LCD technology can be seen everywhere today, often in modern computer monitors, wide screen televisions and other electronic devices such as cell phones and MP3 players and automobile dashboard displays.
